Kerry one step closer to all-Ireland victory

Kerry is the first side through to the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Football Championship after yesterday's crushing victory over Galway at Croke Park.

Their 2-17 to 1-12 win was as comprehensive as could have been expected. Kingdom full-back, Seamus Moynihan, said that matches in the lead-up to the game helped the team to a convincing win.

"We had three games as opposed to Galway, who had to wait five weeks. It does make an awful difference. Whatever you do in training will never match the intensity of championship games and I think that stood to us today."

Moynihan also said that Kerry was hungry for a win but was not over-confident because most of the remaining teams in the championship are very strong.
