Cork City Football Club have confirmed that general manager Aidan Tynan is stepping down from his role at the club to pursue other business interests.

Cork City Football Club have confirmed that general manager Aidan Tynan is stepping down from his role at the club to pursue other business interests.

Mr Tynan will be remaining with the club until such time as his successor has been appointed.

Speaking to CorkCityFC.ie, he said: "I am delighted with the progress that the club made during my tenure and I have no doubt that it will continue to go from strength to strength.

"We now have a very distinctive new crest, a strong brand identity supported by Hummel and a much stronger team which have all contributed to a significant increase in year to date attendances.

"Finally I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone associated with the club for their tremendous commitment and in particular our sponsors Beamish, Johnstone’s Paint, the Evening Echo and Red FM for their support and encouragement."
