Mandatory energy rating from today

The national energy rating system is being extended to all homes for sale or rent from today.

The national energy rating system is being extended to all homes for sale or rent from today.

All such homes will have to get a Building Energy Rating (BER) which assesses how energy efficient it is.

The BER - issued by Sustainable Energy Ireland - is valid for ten years.
