US Cardinal set to resign over sex abuse scandals
A Cardinal in Boston is set to become the highest-ranking churchman to resign to date in connection with a worldwide child sex abuse scandal.
Cardinal Bernard Law is under increasing pressure to step down for allegedly covering up cases of clerical abuse.
The Cardinal was allegedly aware of the actions of some priests, but failed to limit their interaction with children and even allegedly transferred them between parishes rather than take action.
