Jessica Harrington is eyeing a return to obstacles for Cork All Star following his satisfactory spin on the level at Listowel on Saturday.
The 2007 Champion Bumper winner failed to live up to expectations over hurdles last season, although he was placed three times in graded company.
He was beaten just over four lengths into fifth on his first run since April at Listowel and Harrington believes he will derive huge benefit from the outing.
"I was very happy with his run as he got a little bit interfered with and then stayed on in ground which he does not like," said the trainer.
"That should put him right now for going back over hurdles when the ground dries up.
"We are hoping to go to Tipperary with him for a Grade Two Hurdle on October 5 (the Killerk Construction Tipperary Hurdle) and we will take it from there.
"As regards going chasing, it is still early in the season and we will see how he gets on at Tipperary and see how we go.
"I would imagine two miles is probably his best trip."
