Economist predicts gloomy times ahead
Friends First economist Jim Power has predicted that Ireland's economy will continue to deteriorate in the near future.
Mr Power said uncertainty about US/British plans to launch a war against Iraq is exacerbating the current slowdown in the Irish economy.
He said people are now more concerned about future job prospects than at any time in the past 10 years and predicted that spiralling inflation will would continue to prevent an economic recovery.
