'Big Brother' said goodbye to Channel 4 tonight, marking the end of a 10-year reality television partnership.
Davina McCall, who was fighting back tears as the show began, refused to look sombre when she faced the cameras and crowds of fans, shedding her usual black outfits for a strapless sequinned red dress with a black belt.
Former housemates competing to be named the winner of 'Ultimate Big Brother' tonight include former winners Brian Dowling, Chantelle Houghton and Ulrika Jonsson.
They face competition from Houghton’s ex-housemate and ex-husband Samuel Preston, “Nasty” Nick Bateman, Nikki Grahame and Victor Ebuwa.
Since the show launched in 2000, 267 contestants have lived in a 'Big Brother' house during 19 series.
The current house has 382 cameras capturing their every move.
McCall admitted she was struggling, telling viewers: ``This is pants. I'm trying not to cry until the end.''
Jonsson was the first person evicted tonight and showed no signs of disappointment when her name was announced.
The former weather girl turned television presenter won the celebrity version of the show last year despite being up for every eviction.
