Man arrested after fatal crash

A man was arrested by police in Co Tyrone tonight following a fatal road accident.

A man was arrested by police in Co Tyrone tonight following a fatal road accident.

He was being questioned about a crash between a van and a lorry in Omagh in which one man died and two other people were injured.

The accident, on the throughpass between the town centre and Ballygawley, blocked the road for some time.

One of the injured was discharged from hospital after treatment and the other was detained.

Police in Omagh appealed for any witnesses to the accident to contact them.
