The European Central Bank is unlikely to cut interest rates when its governing council meets in Dublin later today.
It is the ECB’s first gathering outside its headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany this year.
Inflation in the 12-nation Euro zone has hit an 8-year high of 3.4%, ranging from 2.5% in France to 5.4% in the Netherlands.
Ireland’s rate, according to Eurostat currently stands at 4.3%.
