Four white racists received lengthy jail sentences in South Africa today after being convicted of murdering two blacks in the central farming town of Parys.
Three of the men, 19-year-old Johannes Smith, 20-year-old Andries Viljoen and 21-year-old Wetzue Botes, were jailed for 20 years each for killing 62-year-old Tshekiso Lebatla and 56-year-old Andries Songelwa, who was disabled.
A 26-year-old former policeman, Eben Kruger, was jailed for 17 years for participating in the attack on Mr Songelwa.
The judge described the murders as brutal and racist.
