With no options left to earn her 2009 LPGA Tour card, Michelle Wie has entered the first stage of tour qualifying next week at Mission Hills Country Club.

Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage, California is the site of the Kraft Nabisco Championship and where Wie really burst on the golf scene as she played in the final group of the LPGA's first Major as an eighth grader.

It seemed a matter of time before her career really took off, but questionable decisions and guidance, along with injuries have held Wie back.

She has not won a tournament since the US Women's Amateur Public Links in 2003 when she was 13.

Her 2007 season was a lost year as she tried to play with wrist injuries and was not the same player.

She did show signs of recovery in limited action this season and was one shot off the lead going into the final round of the State Farm Classic in July when she was disqualified for leaving the scoring trailer before signing her card.

She tied for 12th in the Canadian Women's Open.

At Mission Hills, the top 30 players will advance to the LPGA Tour Qualifying Finals at Daytona Beach in December. The top 20 players and ties at the finals earn their 2009 playing privileges.
