Pierre van Hooijdonk’s late winner kept Feyenoord’s slim Dutch title hopes alive with a 2-1 home victory against NAC Breda.

The visitors took a surprise lead through Ali Boussaboun’s fourth-minute strike, before Thomas Buffel levelled matters 10 minutes later.

The game appeared to be heading for a draw until former Celtic and Nottingham Forest striker van Hooijdonk struck the crucial winner with four minutes left on the clock.

The win leaves the third-placed Rotterdam club 11 points behind PSV Eindhoven but they look good for a European place at the end of the season.
