Police in the North are investigating separate punishment style attacks on three men last night.

Police in the North are investigating separate punishment style attacks on three men last night.

A 26-year-old man was beaten and shot in the leg at Coalisland in Co Tyrone , he has been treated in hospital for his injuries.

In the Springhill Avenue area of West Belfast, an 18-year-old man was shot once in each foot before midnight last night and a 30 year old man was shot in both legs in Ardoyne in North Belfast at 7.15pm.

A number of people have been questioned in relation to the attacks which Police are describing as sectarian.
