The two people who died in a road accident in Co Cork last night have been named.

The two people who died in a road accident in Co Cork last night have been named.

They were 49-year-old Eddie Jordan, from Newtownshandrum in Charleville and 38-year-old Gina Kiely from Charleville in Co Cork.

The Nissan Primera they were travelling in collided with a tractor near Charleville.

The crash happened on the Milford-Newtownshandrum road at 9.30pm when the car ploughed into the side of a harrow being towed by the New Holland tractor.

The tractor driver was not injured.

Mother of five Gina Kiely worked as a secretary in the local St Joseph's National School.

Mr Jordan, who also had five children, was a painter and decorator.
