Kerry school 'absolutely shocked' at death of mother and daughter

A primary school in Co Kerry is trying to come to terms with the death of one of its students today.

Investigations are continuing there following the discovery of the bodies of a young mother and daughter in a house in Killorglin on Sunday.

27-year-old Jolanta Lubiene and her eight-year-old daughter Andrica were found dead in their home on Sunday night.

Gardaí are carrying out house to house inquiries and it is expected a double murder investigation will be launched later today once the post mortem examinations are concluded.

Fr Michael Fleming, Parish priest of Killorglin, said students and teachers at Andrica's primary school are devastated.
