Diver dies while examining wreck off Donegal coast

A man has died while taking part in a dive off the coast of Co Donegal near Malin Head.

A man has died while taking part in a dive off the coast of Co Donegal near Malin Head.

The man was involved in a dive organised by Derry City Council as part of the first stage of a bid to raise a German U-boat off the ocean floor.

Four divers went down to a depth of some 64 metres, but only three returned to the surface.

The body of the missing man hasn't yet been found, but recovery efforts will resume at first light today.
