40 jobs on the way to Cork

40 new jobs are on the way at an engineering firm in Co. Cork.

Charleville engineering company BDC is recruiting after signing a new multi million euro deal involving a vaccine plant in Asia.

The jobs will be a mixture of engineering and trades roles including a number of apprenticeships and will bring the company's workforce in north Cork to 230.

However BDC's chief executive is highlighting a scarcity of available engineers in Ireland and says emigration may cause the firm to look overseas to fill some of the vacancies.
