A Michigan chef is to stand trial accused of murdering his wife and then cooking her in their family restaurant.

Police allege that they arrested the eaterie's owner and chef as he was carrying her head in a box.

Kevin Artz, from Jackson, allegedly struck his wife Patricia with a metal pipe after he looked at her and saw the devil.

There has been no suggestion that Artz served up his wife to diners.

Mr Artz has been found competent to stand trial.
