This teen cried after getting a spray tan - bad idea

We're coming into summer and many ladies will be breaking out the fake tan to take the edge off that luminous bluish-white colour many of us been cultivating over the winter.

But with fake tan comes great risks.

As Skyler Davis, a high school student from Ohio, recently found out.

The 17-year-old went for her first spray tan ahead of her senior prom last Saturday and emerged happy with the results.

But she and her boyfriend got into a bit of an argument soon after which resulted in some tears on Skyler's part - and spelled disaster for her tan.

She posted a photo of the streaky mess to her Twitter - and it was soon shared all over the internet.

Skyler subsequently deleted the photo from her Twitter, telling Buzzfeed that she had had enough of the fame.

"I was just a girl with a messed up spray tan, I had no idea this would ever go viral.”

And while it looked pretty bad, despite comments online to the contrary, the tan was actually quite easily fixed - Skyler showered, went back to the spa the next day to get a touch -up and all was solved.

As you can see from the photo of her looking lovely at the prom.

As for her boyfriend's reaction to the whole thing?

“I have to admit it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.”

Typical.
