A man was due to appear before Dublin District Court this afternoon in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident last year.

A man was due to appear before Dublin District Court this afternoon in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident last year.

The Director of Public Prosecutions has ordered charges to be brought against the 42-year-old, who was arrested and questioned by Gardaí some time ago.

20-year-old college student Lily Hastingbass was knocked down on Rathgar Road in Dublin last November, and later died from her injuries in hospital.
