A misunderstanding between a baker in Lanarkshire and a customer led to the strangest cake topping you’ll ever see.
It was Laura Seggie’s birthday and her mum had ordered a cake. After making the initial order, Laura’s mum sent the baker a text with some extra detail about the decoration.
What she wanted was for the baker to “put a wee blonde girl” on top of the cake. She didn’t notice that her iPhone had autocorrected the message to read “wee blind girl”.
My mum ordered a cake for my sisters bd n asked for a blond girl on top but it autocorrected to blind n we got this pic.twitter.com/SeAoETigfw

Wow.
Fair play to the baker, they conscientiously did their best to fulfil what must have seemed like an extremely odd request from the customer.
It was Laura’s sister Emily who posted a picture of the resulting cake on Twitter and she told The Independent her mother was initially stunned when she went to collect the cake.
“When my mum went to collect it she was wondered why it wasn't blonde,” Emily said.
“They then realised what had happened after checking the text and decided to leave it on as was funny.”
