Armed gang attacks Derry house

A number of people escaped injury when shots were fired at a house in Co Derry last night.

A number of people escaped injury when shots were fired at a house in Co Derry last night.

Three masked men carrying sticks are believed to have visited the house in the Feeny area of Dungiven at about 10.30pm.

Two of the gang smashed glass in the front door, while their accomplice opened fire with a shotgun through the bottom half of the door.

The occupants of the house were at the rear when the attack was launched and escaped unhurt.

Police said no motive has yet been established for the shooting.
