Minister makes trade visit to Prague

Communications Minister Dermot Ahern is in the Czech capital Prague today in an effort to expand Irish trade links.

Communications Minister Dermot Ahern is in the Czech capital Prague today in an effort to expand Irish trade links.

Mr Ahern met his Czech counterpart, Vladimir Mlynar, and representatives of the Czech telecommunications industry as part of his one-day visit.

Speaking afterwards, he said he expected increased business between Ireland and the Czech Republic in the telecommunications and information technology areas.
