Minimum wage to increase

From October 1, the minimum wage is to increase to €6.35 per hour.

The Tanaiste says inspectors will be visiting businesses to make sure they are complying with the increased rate.

Her department will also launch a publicity campaign so that all workers know their rights and anyone who feels they are not getting a fair wage can contact the employment rights information unit.
