Man shot in legs during Derry gun attack

Police in the North are investigating a shooting incident in Derry in which a 26-year-old man suffered injuries to his leg and foot.

Police in the North are investigating a shooting incident in Derry in which a 26-year-old man suffered injuries to his leg and foot.

The victim was shot by a man who called to his house on Florence Street just before midnight.

He is said to be in a stable condition in hospital this morning.

His attacker fled the scene on foot.

The PSNI says it is still trying to establish a motive for the shooting.
