Nicole Kidman, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours, is to portray another British woman in her next project, Emma’s War.
The filmmaking brothers Tony and Ridley Scott will produce and Tony will direct the film, based on the lengthily-titled book Emma’s War: An Aid Worker, A Warlord, Radical Islam And The Politics Of Oil - A True Story Of Love And Death in Sudan, according to reports in Hollywood.
The film centres on the real-life story of Emma, who moved to the Sudan to become an aid worker and fell in love with a Sudanese warlord during the civil war.
