The N6 has now reopened westbound between Tyrellspass and Kilbeggan in Westmeath, following a car crash this morning.

The N6 has now reopened westbound between Tyrellspass and Kilbeggan in Westmeath, following a car crash this morning.

A 32-year-old man died in the accident after he lost control of his car and crashed in Tyrellspass this morning.

Gardai are also investigating a road accident in County Mayo.

An 84-year-old woman was knocked down by a car in Ballinrobe and later died in hospital.
