A film with a strong character base rather than a plotline, but made memorable by the excellence of Rickman and, particularly, Weaver.
Weaver plays an autistic woman visited by drifter Rickman after the woman (Hampshire) he gives a lift to is killed in an auto accident (she turns out to be Weaver’s daughter).
The story concerns itself with the growing relationship between Rickman and Weaver and it is done with a depth of feeling and understanding that marks the film as something special.
