Police investigate reports of gunman at Nasa base

A Nasa research centre near an airport in the US was under lockdown today amid reports of a possible sighting of a gunman.

Nasa Glenn Research Centre spokeswoman Sally Harrington would not say whether police were checking for a gunman, but she said the complex was placed under “complete lockdown”.

The centre is located at the edge of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport along the Cleveland-Brook Park border.

Brook Park police withheld details on how they were handling the situation.
