Several investigations are underway into the helicopter accident that injured three spectators at the Salthill Air Show in Galway yesterday.

Several investigations are underway into the helicopter accident that injured three spectators at the Salthill Air Show in Galway yesterday.

The injuries happened when a side-door fell off a British military helicopter and plunged around 150 feet to the ground below.

Three people - believed to be a Polish man and two Irish women - were hospitalised and were said to be in a stable condition last night.

The door fell about a hundred feet and three people were hospitalised with minor injuries as a result.

The Gardai, the Irish Aviation Authority and the British Government's Ministry of Defence are all investigating the incident.
