A man has been shot dead in a busy pub on Dublin's northside.

A man has been shot dead in a busy pub on Dublin's northside.

Two gunmen entered the pub and started shooting at the man who was hit a number of times in the upper body at the Ardlea Inn in Artane at around 8.30pm last night.

The 30-year-old from the Comcastle area of the city was rushed to Beaumont hospital but was pronounced dead just before 10pm.

A postmortem will be carried out later today.
