UCD earn point in dull draw

Galway United 0 UCD 0

Galway United 0 UCD 0

The weather was the only winner at a windswept Terryland Park as UCD held on for a point.

UCD had a fourth-minute goal disallowed for offside before Galway took control of the first half without finding a way past Matt Gregg in the College goal.

Gregg stretched to tip over his bar on 36 minutes from Ciaran Foley's dipping shot from 30 yards.

A terrific counterattack involving four players then cut UCD open but Gregg came to their rescue again with a good save with his feet from Alan Murphy.

Galway remained on top into the second half and Gregg once more saved his side on 65 minutes with another good save from Barry Moran's header.
