"I'm really, really pleased," said Charlton. "Being by Hernando she should be all stamina but physically she looks built for six and seven furlongs. That's the main surprise about her.

"It's very encouraging and we might come back here for the Radley Stakes now."

"I'd have loved to have got a lead to the two pole, so he could show his turn of foot. I know they have always loved him at the yard."

Tadhg O'Shea reckoned Lasso The Moon, a well-bred newcomer from the Mick Channon yard, could reverse the form with another run.

Division two was closer with Skanky Biscuit (5-1), who refused to go in the stalls at the track's previous meeting, learning at least from his racecourse visit to stick his head in front of Bothy.
