Pakistani officials say a suspected US missile strike has killed two militants near the Afghan border.

Two intelligence officials say the attack from an unmanned drone today hit a house near North Waziristan's Mir Ali town.

The identities and nationalities of the dead were not immediately known.

The officials say at least one person has also been wounded in the strike.

The US frequently uses missile strikes to take out Taliban and al-Qaida targets in Pakistan's north-west, especially the lawless tribal regions where many insurgents hide.
