Suez a prospect for the future
Suez, a 480,000gns yearling purchase for Sheikh Mohammed, looked very smart when making a winning debut in the Findon Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Glorious Goodwood today.
The Michael Jarvis-trained juvenile was always up with the pace and quickened up nicely 200 yards from home, scoring by an impressive two and a half lengths from Clear Impression despite showing signs of inexperience at one stage of the race.
Her next target could be the Lowther Stakes at York’s Ebor meeting, and judging by her victory on a sharp track like today’s, the Knavesmire would definitely suit.
