According to reports from her production company, Oprah Winfrey has decided to stay on in television until 2008.
"It's fulfilling being able to do this kind of television," said Oprah in a statement.
"And I believe continuing to have a voice and a platform to speak to the world is still the right thing to do."
This is the second extension of Oprah's contract in a little over a year.
The latest two-year extension will keep Oprah on the air as the show's host and producer.
The show is currently in its 17th season.
Oprah was recently voted America's favorite TV personality in a Harris survey, and she is the first black American woman to appear on the yearly Forbes' list of the world's wealthiest people, estimated to be worth about $1bn (€.84m).
