KR Reykjavik 2 Shelbourne 2
Two goals in the last 10 minutes of Shelbourne’s European Champions League first qualifying round match with Iceland’s KR Reykjavik has given the Dublin side cause for optimism in the second leg.
It looked like another tale of woe for an Irish side in the competition when Arnar Jon Sigurgerisson and Sigurvin Olafsson put the Icelandic champions 2-0 ahead with goals after 47 and 54 minutes respectively.
However, it was Shelbourne’s Alan Moore who came up with a vital away goal after 84 minutes before Kristjan Orn Sigurdsson sliced a clearance to score a spectacular own goal with four minutes remaining.
