Osbournes 'unaware' of Jack's drink problems

Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack is in “good spirits” after admitting himself to a drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic, his sister said today.

Kelly Osbourne said the Brummie rocker’s family had been unaware how bad the 17-year-old’s problem had become before he checked into a California hospital last week.

“We didn’t even know what was going on because we haven’t been together for a while,” she told US Weekly magazine.

“I was on tour, mum was working on her TV show, and dad’s in rehearsal.”

Jack, the son of the former Black Sabbath frontman, finally told his mother Sharon about his alcohol and marijuana abuse.

Kelly said: “He sat with mum and she said, ‘We’ll get you help, we’ll figure it out’. He’s doing very well and we’re all very proud of him. He’s in really good spirits.”

Jack, a part-time talent scout for Epic Records, entered Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena on April 23.

He told People magazine: “I got caught up in my new lifestyle and got carried away with drugs and alcohol.

“Once I realised this, I voluntarily checked myself into a detox facility for my own health and well-being.”

Jack and Kelly, 18, became international stars with the success of MTV’s reality show The Osbournes.
