Wexford hurling manager John Meyler has hit out at Richie Kehoe's decision to opt out of the Model County's squad.

The Faythe Harriers clubman, a key member of the side during the league campaign, has indicated that he will spend the summer in Boston and won't play any part in Wexford's championship campaign.

Meyler has expressed his disappointment and annoyance at the timing of Kehoe's decision, eight weeks before the Leinster semi-final clash with either Dublin or Westmeath.
