Tyrone were one up on Derry before a ball was even kicked in their Ulster quarter-final replay on Saturday, revealed star man Sean Cavanagh.

Tyrone were one up on Derry before a ball was even kicked in their Ulster quarter-final replay on Saturday, revealed star man Sean Cavanagh.

Following their drawn tie six days earlier Tyrone spent the week studying Derry's game plan and the ploy paid off big time.

Cavanagh said: "We knew exactly how to counteract their two man full-forward line. We didn't give them an inch in the middle and we completely stifled them."
