Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after convicted drug dealer John Gilligan was shot in West Dublin last night.
It is believed he was shot a number of times at his brother's house in Greensfort Crescent in Clondalkin at around 7pm yesterday evening while attending a family gathering.
He was rushed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where the 61-year-old is expected to make a full recovery.
A garda manhunt is underway for two men believed to be involved in the shooting who fled the scene in a car.
