A 21-year-old man has been arrested after an armed raid on a pub in Drogheda.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested after an armed raid on a pub in Drogheda.

It happened at about 8.15pm yesterday evening - when two men armed with a knife and shotgun entered the premises on Marsh Street and held-up staff.

One of the suspects managed to escape the scene - while a second was held at the scene.

He is being held at Drogheda Garda Station.
