Hollywood actress Rosie McGowan - star of the TV series 'Charmed' - hasn't made many friends in the North after telling a press conference at the Toronto Film Festival that had she lived in Belfast, she would have joined the IRA.
McGowan was in the North recently filming 'Fifty Dead Men Walking', based on the autobiography of IRA informer Martin McGartland.
She said: "I imagine, had I grown up in Belfast, I would 100% have been in the IRA. My heart just broke for the cause. Violence is not to be played out daily and provide an answer to problems, but I understand it."
