Army technical experts have declared a suspicious object discovered in north Belfast a hoax.

The security forces were alerted to an apparent device at Abbeydale Park in Belfast in the early hours of this morning.

Meanwhile, a security alert in Co Derry was also declared over this morning.

Nothing was found following the alert at the Limavady Road, Derry.
