More than 40 Nigerians to be deported today

Anti-racism campaigners are planning a protest in Dublin today as the State prepares to send more than 40 Nigerian nationals back to their home country.

Anti-racism campaigners are planning a protest in Dublin today as the State prepares to send more than 40 Nigerian nationals back to their home country.

Residents Against Racism said some of the deportees have lived in Ireland for more than 10 years and have children who are Irish citizens.

The group is due to protest outside the Garda National Immigration Bureau in an attempt to get the Minister for Justice, Dermot Ahern, to halt the deportations.
