FBI hunt teacher after women, children killed

The FBI are hunting the deputy head of a California elementary school in connection with the murder of five people, including three children.

The FBI are hunting the deputy head of a California elementary school in connection with the murder of five people, including three children.

The five, including the youngsters’ mother and grandmother, were found dead in their Bakersfield home, and police said they had been shot many times.

Vincent Brothers, 41, is deputy head of Fremont Elementary, estranged husband of the younger woman and father of at least two of the dead children.

“He is a person of interest, a possible suspect,” Detective Mary DeGeare said. “We would like to find him to determine whether he was responsible or eliminate him as a suspect.”

The victims were identified as Earnestine Harper, 70, Joanie Harper, 39, Marques Harper, four, Lindsey Harper, 23 months, and Marshall Harper, one and a half months.

Post mortem examinations were being carried out today.
