Ireland manager Mick McCarthy is due to name his 23-man squad for this summer’s World Cup finals later today.

McCarthy has said he will remain loyal to the players who featured in the qualifying round, a comment which leaves doubt surrounding the likes of Gary Doherty, Rory Delap, Stephen Reid and Colin Healy.
