Labour Senator Denis Landy is claiming he was offered a holiday if he missed last week's votes on the abolition of the Seanad.

Labour Senator Denis Landy is claiming he was offered a holiday if he missed last week's votes on the abolition of the Seanad.

The Senator said that he was approached by an individual who told him he would get flights and accommodation in New York if he stayed away from the vote.

Mr Landy has not revealed who made the offer.

A government spokesperson said that he is unaware of any offers being made to Landy.
