Actress Reese Witherspoon says her biggest concern in life is being a good mother.
The 26-year-old Hollywood star tells the New York Daily News: “Above all things I’m a mother and a wife, and that’s what I really focus on in my life.”
Witherspoon is married to actor Ryan Phillippe and the couple have a three-year-old daughter, Ava.
The actress is set to earn a fortune for her next film – a follow-up to her hit Legally Blonde.
She says of the massive paycheck: “It’s not lost on me how nice it is to be compensated to that degree.
“But whether or not it changes me as a human being, I mean, absolutely not. How much money I make doesn’t have a lot to do with my self-worth, or who I am.”
Witherspoon is currently appearing with Patrick Dempsey and Candice Bergen in new movie Sweet Home Alabama.
She plays Melanie Carmichael, a successful Manhattan clothing designer engaged to the mayor’s son, but can’t escape her previous identity.
Melanie strives to forget about the unsophisticated Southern girl who married - and never divorced – her high-school sweetheart (played by Josh Lucas) from the rural town she thought she had left behind.
