Fabregas still doubtful

Cesc Fabregas’ participation in tomorrow’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona looks to be in doubt after the Arsenal captain did not train with the rest of the Gunners squad this morning.

Cesc Fabregas’ participation in tomorrow’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona looks to be in doubt after the Arsenal captain did not train with the rest of the Gunners squad this morning.

The 22-year-old picked up a leg injury during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Birmingham, which left Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sweating over the midfielder’s fitness for tomorrow’s game at the Emirates Stadium.

Fabregas is desperate to play against the team with whom he spent six years before joining the north London club but he may now miss out after he failed to appear alongside his team-mates at London Colney this morning.

Wenger is expected to confirm whether Fabregas will play at a press conference this lunchtime..
